Lesson 4 - Footwork
Want to dance around opponents like the legend Mohammed Ali did in the ring?
Taunting opponents. Evading their blows. Sapping their strength.
You do? Good.
First thing.
Assume an easy attitude before the mirror.
Now start to dance.
To be more specific, perform a clog dance.
Put your weight first on your left foot. Then on your right foot.
One thing.
You must keep your body very relaxed whilst you do this routine.
Keep doing this until you've committed the
routine to memory.
Now stop your 'clog dancing'. Place your left foot flat on the floor.
Next place your right foot to the rear, resting on the ball of your foot, with your heel
slightly raised.
Remember to keep your weight well forward on the left foot.
Assume the position of a boxer.
And start to move around the room in a gliding motion.
Make sure you keep your right foot behind the left foot.
With your left foot continually on the ground.
You never have to be on the toes of your left foot unless you're
throwing a punch.
You'll find your punches are very swiftly and powerfully delivered
as the propulsion is delivered from the ball of your right foot and twist of your waist.
